The Lake Washington tournament was pretty good judging from the number of fish weighed in and the weights of the fish. Low water conditions made the launch and loading process fun, but it worked out. Some said the heat was pretty oppressive too.
The top fishermen were:
Boater Division
1st Place – Dan Stokes 16.10 Lbs.
2nd Place – Mike Melton 15.65 Lbs.
3rd Place – R.B. Sheppard 12.71 Lbs.
4th Place – Pete Larson 10.55 Lbs.
5th Place – T.J. Hare Jr. 9.20 Lbs.
Co-angler Division
1st Place – Bob Westerfield 2.53 Lbs.
2nd Place – George Thrash 2.49 Lbs.
The Lunker honors were taken by Pete Larson with a 6.02 fish.
Congratulations to all these fishermen.
The Culprits ran away with Team honors at this tournament.
Upcoming events
• The General Membership Meeting will be at Lone Star in Pearl on Tuesday night – 21 September.
The nominees for Board members will be announced and the Board member election will be held in October. Please make every effort to attend this meeting.
• The Board meeting will be on 5 October at the Lone Star in Pearl. Any member is welcome to attend.
• The Ross Barnett point tournament will be on 16th of October.
Other News
The nomination and election process for Officers is nearing. If you are interested in running for an office please let a Board member or officer know. I encourage all of you to stand up and volunteer. This is your club and you should be ready to become involved with the decision making process. The Board meetings are fun as well as productive times. Be a part of it!
I have some reconditioned reels for sale. I have four round Ambassaduers, a Bass Pro Shops Mega bait caster, an Amb. Cardinal spinning reel and a Quantum spinning reel. If you are interested in any of them please call me at 601-594-4357. I will also bring them to the Sept. meeting.
